Cucumber Green is a duo formed with the double bass player Eugenio Dreas with whom Filippo has been collaborating for the better part of a decade. In Cucumber Green both musicians are composers and arrangers and the goal of the project is to evoke the sounds of music from the 60s and 70s, which is why their EP was recorded on tape at 1911 Recording Studio by Claudio Banelli, a completely analog studio equipped with vintage ribbon microphones, analog desk and tube amplifiers. In addition to the technical aspect, Cucumber Green pays particular attention to the composition so that it is consistent with the aforementioned sound research as well as the interplay between the two instruments which, even in solo moments, are on the same level in a continuous exchange of musical ideas.
