“Trust the Process” is an invitation and a reminder to have the courage to undertake your own personal journey of life. We tend to seek shelter and comfort in the ideal of life that we observe around us, and today because of social media I find it increasingly difficult to escape the inevitable temptation to compare myself with artists and people around me. The title of this album was a phrase that kept coming back to me during the creation of this work, especially in the moments when I started to compare my work to other music or other art not so much from a technical point of view but functional to achieving elusive career goals. My research, from a musical standpoint, is based on looking for a meeting point between jazz music which taught everything I know about composition, arrangement and improvisation and rock-pop music that I feel is what resonates in a very ancestral way within me. For this reason the songs were written and arranged with a combination of electric guitar riffs, backbeats and moments of free improvisation, more refined harmony and interplay.”

The trio formed in 2020 with Simone Serafini on double bass and Jacopo Zanette on drums and represents a platform for Filippo to express his musical concept. This project plays almost exclusively this original music, compositions through which he tries to find a meeting point between jazz music, which he studies extensively, and rock - pop music with which he approached the guitar in his childhood.
